Sustainability
Wings Up-Cycled
Wings Up-Cycled is a free clothing store for all Tennessee Tech students. We want this store to be an accessible resource for students who may need more clothes or just want to mix up their wardrobe but do not have the finances to do so. We also hope that Wings Up-Cycled can help promote second-hand shopping rather than the alternative of buying from and supporting unethical clothing companies. Fast fashion and textile waste are major issues for the environment; you can check out the websites we have linked to learn more.
Want to Donate?
Wings Up-Cycled is a donation-based free store. That means we cannot keep the store up and running if people stop donating. We encourage you to bring extra clothes to us! Not only does this help us stay open, but it is also a good way to practice sustainability in your life! You can bring donations to Room 201 of the University Service’s building Monday - Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm.
Items we will accept: gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, sports equipment, miscellaneous home supplies (lamps, kitchen appliances, decor, etc.), jewelry, handbags, books and trinkets, small furniture, craft and school supplies
Items we will not accept: undergarments, swimsuits, torn/damaged/worn out clothing, large furniture, bedding, towels/washcloths, broken appliances or electronics
