American Conservation Experience – EPIC Water Quality Inventory and Monitoring Member in Oneida, TN | Description: This is a six month position with the NPS Appalachian Highlands Inventory and Monitoring Network (APHN) where the ACE member will serve as a member of a team that conducts field-oriented natural resources monitoring. Duties are mainly assisting with field data collection, data management and related laboratory testing for the Network's water quality monitoring program. Other duties may include assisting with freshwater mussel and vegetation monitoring. Posting Date: 3/9/24 Salary: $600/week |

Conservation Fisheries, Inc. (CFI) Fish Propagation Biologist | Description: Under general supervision of the Director at the Conservation Fisheries, the Fish Propagation Biologist will receive training in collection of broodstock, hatching, growing, and distributing fish. Training will include construction and general maintenance of non-game fish propagation systems equipment such as instruction on specialized holding, propagation and rearing systems for non-game fish species (primarily minnows, darters, and madtom catfish). Work will include spawning of fish, feeding, and monitoring growth, condition, and health of captive-reared fish. Work will include establishment and maintenance of live food cultures. Work will include collection and transport of propagated fish and field release of propagated fish. Greater Yellowstone Coalition Idaho Conservation Manager | Description: The Idaho Conservation Manager (ICM) is a senior level position that provides strategic leadership for GYC’s efforts to protect lands, waters, and wildlife within the Idaho portion of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. The ICM develops and implements programs that achieve GYC’s long-term conservation goals. Specifically, the ICM leads GYC’s work to conserve key public lands, improve habitat connectivity, prevent human-wildlife conflicts, and shape local, state, and federal policy decisions. The ICM builds and maintains effective relationships with organizational partners, including agency staff, elected representatives at all levels, landowners, Indigenous communities, and GYC supporters. The ICM collaborates and coordinates across the organization’s departments (conservation, communications, development) to ensure programmatic priorities in Idaho align with GYC’s overarching strategic priorities. NAAEE Green Space Program Specialist | Description: The Green Space Program Specialist will work in Portland, OR and will foster community stewardship through the successful design and implementation of natural area enhancement projects in urban green spaces in partnership with public agencies, non-profit partners, individual landowners, Friends groups, and community volunteers. Additionally, they will coordinate with schools and community partners to deliver environmental curriculum, facilitate conversations, and foster leadership development through our youth programming. Ideal candidates will be team-oriented, creative, and adaptable; have a background in native plant restoration and working with youth; and be able to juggle multiple priorities and timelines at once. This position will be a hybrid role that works in varied settings, including in the field, in the Portland office, and from home. Salary: $53,000 annually. |

TN State Parks GIS Technician | Description: We are currently hiring a GIS Technician to join the Office of Outdoor Recreation at TDEC. This is a contract position (up to two years), and it's perfect for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience while working on meaningful projects supporting Tennessee’s State Parks and conservation efforts. The role will be remote in Tennessee, with periodic site visits teaching GIS at our State Parks. ACE GIS/Natural Resource Member - Jimmy Carter National Historical Park | Description: The ACE Member will assist Park staff in accomplishing a variety of tasks. 70% of the work performed by the ACE Member will be GIS focused and involves data collection, database management, and creating maps. The GIS Member is the only individual in the park with GIS duties and supports the GIS needs of the entire park team. The member will spend 30% of their time in the field performing tasks as assigned. The fieldwork will be focused on the vegetation identification and finalizing submission for Level 2 Arboretum status for the park. This individual placement is meant to facilitate professional development and promotes exposure to land management agencies and networking with professionals.
