ORNL Remote Sensing Specialist Description: The Earth Systems Science Section of the Environmental Sciences Division (ESD) at ORNL is seeking a highly motivated individual to support remote sensing data and application for the Next Generation Ecosystem Experiment Arctic (NGEE Arctic) and existing projects across ESD. Our team collects a variety of novel remote sensing data, including multispectral, hyperspectral, thermal, and LiDAR, using field equipment, unoccupied aerial systems (UASs), as well as airborne and satellites through collaborations with partner institutions like NASA. We are looking for an experienced data scientist/technical professional with an exemplary record of using remote sensing data and tools. The successful candidate will support data synthesis activities on the NGEE Arctic project and develop frameworks for generating model-ready data for ELM and ELM-FATES. The candidate will also have opportunities to participate in UAS flights and work with R&D staff to develop data processing pipelines, UAS data applications, and AI/ML approaches. Position posted on 10/10/24. 
SELC Forestry Associate Description: The Southern Environmental Law Center has created a new position, Forest Associate, ideally located in our Asheville, NC or Chapel Hill, NC offices. This individual will join our Forest Program but will also work in concert with our Energy Program as needed, and report to Senior Attorneys in our Asheville and Chapel Hill offices. Salary: $59,000- $70,000. Applications accepted until filled. 
Diadromous Fisheries Analyst – Salmon Watersheds and Climate Resilience Science Description: Azura is seeking a Diadromous Fisheries Analyst to support the NOAA Fisheries Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) Protected Species Division (PSD). The Analyst will serve as the Salmon Watershed Habitat Assessment Coordinator for Climate Resilience Science for the Atlantic Salmon Ecosystems Branch and will work with experienced salmon scientists and managers to synthesize information available from the microhabitat to watershed scales using existing and novel data to develop science products that support identification of the core characteristics and location of climate resilient habitat. Salary: $33.97 to $47.02 per hour.  Application Deadline: 11/8/24. 
CEC Air Quality Principal Description: As an Air Quality Senior Project Manager/Principal for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Corpus Christi, Texas office you will lead air permitting and regulatory compliance programs for private-sector clients with complex technical/regulatory issues in the manufacturing, oil & gas, power, and mining industry consulting groups.  You will also work to support public sector clients in reviewing permit applications and compiling greenhouse gas inventories. You'll develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their processes and develop permitting and compliance strategies to help their facilities maintain operating flexibility. You will identify and develop new air quality business with new and existing clients that generate repeat business. You will also represent the company at conferences and in meetings to resolve project issues, plan and coordinate work, and negotiate contracts. Position is posted until filled.
